I graduated with distinction in 2016 from Brighton University in the UK with a BA in Theatre Arts with specialisation in Costume Design and Construction. Throughout my studies I have emphasised on an excellence in craftsmanship, in depth material knowledge and thorough insight into all theatre trades and technologies that interface with costume design. I believe it is essential to push the limits of what is possible in design and ensure its quality at all times, even in small productions. While I was studying and a year after I was freelancing as a costume maker in the UK to gain an in depth and varied knowledge about costume making and the methods of construction. I was working on high end productions such as West End shows and films and then went on to work for one of Britain's most famous and distinctive Opera Houses, Glyndebourne, where I was 2nd assistant maker in the Ladies Costume Department. There I learned techniques to create garments to the highest professional standard.

In the beginning of 2018 I moved back to Iceland and started work as a freelance Costume Designer and Maker. I have collaborated with many talented designers, artists and directors in Iceland and have designed and/or made costumes for productions in the major theater houses in Iceland as well as independent theater/dance groups, art films and music videos.

I also finished mymasters in Arts education from the Icelandic Academy of Arts in 2021 where put emphasis on innovation and digital technology in textile education.
